Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Sofía brings a relentless spirit to every project. Classically trained as an actor, Sofía always intends to create a shift in the room. They believe our most profound truths exist in the space between us; their artistry reflects this principle.
Trained at the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts, her magnetism and electric energy propelled her onstage performances. Delving into the wor(l)ds of Stephen Adly-Guirgis, William Shakespeare, Alexis Scheer, and many others, Sofía’s love for story shines through her craft.
Since graduation, Sofía has only continued to evolve as a performer. Some of her most cherished memories are recent collaborations with Eight-Ball Theatre, the Latino Theatre Company at LATC, and as a non-profit theatre educator for grade school children. They have also worked as an associate producer for Teatro de Oro, the first-ever documentary about Puerto Rico’s theatre history. Additionally, she has garnered at-length experience in the development phase for Emmy-winning film production companies and has been a featured lead in the Emmy-nominated Healthy Minds, Thriving Kids.
Sofía Rodríguez-Toymil is currently represented by Principal Entertainment LA and Jenny Stricklin Talent Agency (commercial).
